R.W. Sullivan Engineering (RWS) focuses much of our time and energy in our community. Our leadership and team members are committed to volunteering their time to some of the region’s most noteworthy philanthropies.
We encourage our 95+ staff members to get active in the community.

Giving back to the community is a crucial part of our philosophy here at RWS. We encourage and support our employees to volunteer and contribute to local charities by presenting opportunities and allowing them the time required to participate.
RWS recently participated in the “Make Happy Craft Carts” for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital which included assembling goody bags that contained items such as crayons, markers, coloring books, etc. for children/teens to do while waiting to see the doctors.
St. Jude has treated children from all 50 states and more than 70 foreign countries; and is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatments that are not covered by insurance, and families without insurance are never asked to pay.
Charity work is a cornerstone of the culture here at R.W. Sullivan Engineering. Giving back to the community has been an important tenet of the firm’s ideology, starting when Robert W. Sullivan founded the firm in 1945. R.W. Sullivan Engineering encourages and supports its employees to volunteer and contribute to local charities by presenting opportunities and allowing them the time required to participate.
Toys for Tots is a charity created by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, whose mission it is to collect toys for less fortunate children throughout Massachusetts. R.W. Sullivan Engineering participates in this annually, collecting donations from generous employees to support this worthy cause.
Heading Home is an organization whose objective it is to end homelessness in the Greater Boston area. In December, R.W. Sullivan Engineering helped Heading Home enlist volunteers to sort gifts donated to families in need.
