This project was a 41,000-square-foot project to provide a new Emergency Department for the hospital. The total cost for the project was $81 million. Constructed in what was formerly open space beneath patient care floors, the new Emergency Department consists of 48 exam rooms, 4 trauma rooms and 3 behavioral health rooms and has a Level II trauma center. A modern imaging suite with two CT Scanners and x-ray capabilities was also part of the project. A new unit substation was installed to provide power for the space and for the additional mechanical equipment that serves the new emergency department space. Mechanical work included a new modular chiller and new air handling units.
