R.W. Sullivan Engineering (RWS) originally provided code consulting services to the Boston Public Facilities Department in 2006 to determine if it would be possible to remove the exterior fire escapes from the existing school. The project included life safety upgrades throughout the existing three-story, 41,000 sq/ft facility. Upon completion, the school will be equipped with a full sprinkler system, a new voice evacuation fire alarm system, and new emergency egress lighting. This $500,000 project was completed in 2010.
