Overview:

This project involved a new five story addition to the Institute for Human performance, with each floor designated with a purpose.
The 159,600 sq/ft addition spans all five floors, each on serving the purpose of parking, vivarium, and labratory, to name a few.

R.W. Sullivan completed engineering design for this new five story building built as an addition (separate but connected structure) adjacent to the existing Institute for Human Performance located at 550 Harrison Street in Syracuse NY. The addition consists of 159,600 sq/ft comprised of grade level parking, vivarium on the 2nd floor and laboratory investigation on the 3rd and 4th floors. The 5th floor is reserved as a mechanical penthouse.
